Many people in our society miss the warmth of a 'home'. They feel lonely and left out. AHA offers them a living room, a place to come to themselves and an opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many homeless people live in Amsterdam. People who – for very different reasons – cannot survive in regular society. For many of these people, the problems started in childhood. For example, due to emotional neglect or a traumatic experience. They need warmth, contact and a place to relax. AHA is one such place where the homeless can catch their breath. In addition to a meaningful daytime activity, they offer them food, warmth and a safe environment.
